U Arena is the new stadium in Paris located in the Défense district, in the municipality of Nanterre, in the west part of Paris. The structure was designed not only to host the home games of Racing Métro 92 (the great Parisian rugby team), but also to host most of the events with great public access organized by the city of Paris. Indeed, the stadium has a total capacity of 40,000 spectators with the ability to manage the turnout depending on the needs of use. The great versatility of the structure has defined the location as a multifunctional stadium with a forecast of use for concerts, cultural and business events of over 100 days per year with an annual attendance of more than 1.4 million visitors.

The stadium will also be used for gymnastics competitions in the Paris Olympics Games 2024.

Attention has been paid to the polyvalence of the structure: there is only one “curve” to give space to an external building that hosts offices and reception areas and make sure to simplify any installation of scenography and / or stage. Great importance was also given to the acoustics and the lights arrangement both inside and outside the structure.

The official inauguration of the stadium took place on October 19th, 2017, with the first of the three final concerts of the Rolling Stones world tour (sold out).

LMV World took part in this great project with the realization of fixed coverage making U-Arena one of the few stadiums entirely covered. Special S460NL steel was used for the construction of mega-beams of over 120 m, that support the entire roof. The steel used for the entire roof is 5800 tons.

The coverage was completed on time thanks to the efforts of the LMV workers that worked day and night to achieve this important goal.
